‘Fastest Golden Quadrilateral in a Car by an Individual’

CHENNAI : G.D Vishnu Raam, a proud Coimbatorean has entered several prestigious Record Books for attempting the ‘Fastest Golden Quadrilateral in a Car by an Individual’ recently.

This attempt involved covering 99 cities under 99 hours with a total distance of approx. 6000 kms. This tribute ride cum attempt was made on the 99th birthday of the iconic Tamil Nadu Leader Kalaignar M.Karunanidhi to celebrate the visionary’s legacy and the social reformations.

The ride began at Chennai on June 3. It was flagged off by Udhayanidhi Stalin MLA, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Health Minister M.Subramanian and Dayanidhi Maran, MP, Chennai at 10.30 am at Muthamizh Aringnar Kalaignar Dr.M.Karunanidhi Memorial.

The plan was to start from Chennai, reach Kolkata, from there go to Delhi, and reach Mumbai from there and finally return to Chennai from Mumbai on June 6th 9 pm.

Being an experienced driver and a fitness enthusiast, Mr.Vishnu drove his Toyota Fortuner for this ride, and he successfully crossed the planned areas and completed the attempt much earlier than the targeted time. He covered 5870kms in 82 hours and 20 minutes, thus entering the Limca Book of Record, Asia Book of Record, India Book of Record for the Fastest Quadrilateral in a Car by an individual. The previous record was 103 hours and Vishnu has shattered that with his attempt.

Mr.Vishnu is an avid cyclist for 12 years. He is the record holder in India Book of Records, Asia book of records, and World records of India for the following achievements:

Maximum distance covered in a car within 24 hours. He covered a distance of 2152.32 km in 20 hrs 40 min from Bangalore to Nagpur and back to Bangalore on July 6th 2021.

He did this to salute the front-line workers who helped people during Covid-19 crisis.

Longest distance covered on a bicycle in 24 hours. He covered a distance of 623 km in

23 hrs 53 min from Coimbatore to Kanyakumari via Salem and Madurai on August 8th, 2021. He attempted this record to encourage people to cycle every day for a healthier lifestyle and as a fight against obesity and heart diseases.

Fastest on-road bicycling for 100 km by an individual. He covered a distance of

100 km in 2hrs 55 min from Coimbatore to Thrissur on Feb 22nd, 2022. He did this record with the aim to raise awareness for 100% vaccination against Covid-19.

Fastest on-Road Bicycling for 100 Miles by an individual. He covered a distance of 100 miles in 4hrs 28 min from Coimbatore to Salem on March 26th,2022. He attempted this record to spread awareness on Global Warming and Climate Change.

He is a realtor and an entrepreneur. His passion for fitness came in 1999. Bullied for being a very fat boy, Mr.Vishnu took up fitness to build not just his body but confidence. It was a rigorous journey for him but the results were very much rewarding.

To assist his fellow Coimbatoreans achieve their fitness goals, he runs a cross fit center in Covai in the name ‘6th gear Fitness’. He is in plans to again make an ambitious attempt of covering four corners of India (Kanyakumari – Arunachal Pradesh – Kashmir – Gujarat) that is around 14000 Kilometres in 18days for a valuable cause that will be revealed soon.
